A game about Making Cakes - still in development. I will be improving it until the end of the Jam. Right now it's just a proof of concept and a base to build on.

Well no AI or external Assets were used in the development so far.

The only credit right now is for Toby Fox because I love his music so much.

And for inspiration for the player to Cooking Mama and Majotori from Alva Majo

Controls:

AWSD - Move

E - Interact and Pick/Leave Objects

Use Mouse to Play the Minigames.

0. Get ingredients from the boxes and put them in the stations

1. Put the ingredients and mix them

2. Put your dough in the oven and close it for it to start baking. Open the oven again to retrieve your cake.

3. Spread chocolate batter with your mouse

And just deliver your cake for points.

Like I said it's still incomplete and I still want to add more things. I want to make it something similar to Overcooked but more chilled and relaxed where you aren't having panic attacks to do so many things in so little time. Next step from this stage is adding Orders.

And well for going with the Theme of small things, I wanted to make the cake making process more detailed. Different Ingredients, Sizes and Covers. The orders are not so simple like Overcooked but include a lot of small details. And obviously original Music.

Because thank god for Toby Fox and his wonderful music

But well I hope you like what you see and have fun with the jam.

I think this is a cute idea with potential, and I know from the description that you will still make improvements, so I will only comment on the improvements I think are more crucial for the gameplay. The adding ingredients to the mixing table is a bit fail-prone, it's easy to put then on the table but not inside the minigame, and it feels like that could easily be fixed with adjustments to the collision areas. For the mixing, I was confused because I didn't realize I had to click the ingredients after I had supposedly added them already. It would be nice to have a progress bar to know if I'm doing the right thing or not. In the oven stage, I didn't understand the purpose of closing the door, or if it was needed, and why the progress bar gets hidden when I close the door. I burned 3 cakes, until I realized the purpose was not to get the green bar to be full. I think those were the main parts that affected my experience. I'm curious to see how part 2 will look!

Great work! The cake making steps are so funsies and I 100% boogied around the kitchen to the soundtrack lol. Cant' wait to play the finished piece!!
